ACTIVITIES & TOURS

Tulum Mayan Temples: Explore the ancient Mayan temples at Parque Nacional Tulum (also known as Parque del Jaguar), the only archaeological site in Mexico located directly on the ocean. This historic site was once a key trade hub for the Mayan civilization. Entry is approximately 600 Mexican Pesos per person.

Punta Allen: Located within the Sian Ka’an Biosphere Reserve—the second-largest water reserve in the world—Punta Allen is a colorful fishing village. A full-day boat tour here includes wildlife sightings, breathtaking ocean views, and a stop at a shallow "natural swimming pool" in the sea.

Muyil: Known as “where the sky is born,” Muyil is a stunning lagoon and archaeological site located near Sian Ka’an. It’s perfect for an afternoon tour and can be paired with a morning visit to the Tulum ruins or a cenote.

Cobá: Visit the Cobá ruins to see the tallest Mayan pyramid in the Yucatán Peninsula. The site is surrounded by jungle and can be explored by foot or bicycle. A half-day trip from Tulum.

Chichén Itzá: One of the New Seven Wonders of the World, this awe-inspiring Mayan city is a must-see. A full-day excursion from Tulum, it offers a deeper look into the grandeur of ancient Mesoamerican culture.

Mayan Underworld – Cenotes: The Yucatán Peninsula is home to over 10,000 cenotes—crystal-clear, freshwater sinkholes formed by collapsed limestone. Some favorites in the Tulum area include: Gran Cenote, Cenote Manatí, Atik Tulum Park, Zacil-Ha, Cenote Tankah, Dos Ojos.

Art Galleries: Don’t miss Azulik Tulum and Azulik Uh May—immersive, nature-inspired galleries featuring contemporary and indigenous art. Casa Malca, a boutique hotel and former mansion of Pablo Escobar, also displays an impressive collection of modern art throughout its property and rooms.

Spiritual & Wellness Experiences: Nomade Hotel offers transformative New Moon and Full Moon rituals, as well as other curated spiritual experiences. Mayan ceremonies such as energy cleanses and shamanic rituals are also available. Sanará offers daily yoga classes in its stunning beachfront studio. Holistika Tulum, located downtown, is a serene space focused on healing, art, and community.

Spas: For a luxurious wellness experience, we highly recommend Yaan Wellness Spa at Be Tulum and Azulik Spa (known for its jungle-meets-sky atmosphere). Caoba Spa at Jashita offers massages, facials, sound healing and cacao ceremonies.

Nightlife: Papaya Playa Project, Gitano Jungle, Vagalume, Bonbonniere Tulum, Casa Jaguar, Mia Beach Club, Confessions Tulum and La Zebra Salsa Nights.

Mexican Cooking Classes: Take a hands-on cooking class at Lina’s Kitchen in downtown Tulum to learn the art of traditional Mexican cuisine.

Lagoons: Kaan Luum and NeeK Tulum.
